The following chart is provided to give the reader a sense of the climate in the Comox Valley. As you will read, this region of Vancouver Island has one of the most temperate climates in Canada. While the valley does get rain in the winter, many people are able to enjoy the outdoors year round. With daytime highs near 7-8 degrees Celsius (43 to 45 degrees F) in January and February it is not hard to understand why. Most of the precipitation occurs in December and while the sun is less obvious in the wet winter months there is still enough to enjoy. When it fails to appear in the valley, a short drive up the mountain can offer result in one being able to get above the cloud in order to enjoy the sunshine. If that is not enough, Hawaii is only a short flight away in the winter and the Comox airport is well connected to flights out of Vancouver.
For may people, quality of life begins with the weather and the surrounding scenery. The Comox Valley has better weather than most of Canada and the scenery rivals that of anywhere in Canada. Looking for a change and improved quality of life? Come out for a visit and see what you think.
