Overview of Lancaster Heights
Lancaster Heights is a family friendly neighbourhood in Comox, BC. This subdivision is accessed via McDonald Road, Bolt and Noel Avenues and Murrelet Drive. There is a noticeable water tower past Spitfire Drive. Other than this landmark, the most noticeable thing about the area is that all the street names are named after types of airplanes. Tutor Drive, Spitfire Drive, Avro Arrow Drive, Hornet Way, Tiger Moth Place, Lancaster Way, Expeditor Place and Canuck Place are included in the streets of this area. This neighbourhood is one of two newer subdivisions in Comox. Most of the homes were built in the later part of the 2000s and there is some construction currently going on. The area is very popular with younger families and families who move often such as DND and the RCMP.
Many of the homes are rancher and two storey homes but there is also a variety of other similar types of single family homes. Higher end finishing both outside and inside many of the homes is typical of the area. The newest homes are generally found on Tutor Drive and the newest road connecting to it.
